PL8CHAT is a trusted network of drivers helping each other stay safe, connected, and accountable through license plate–based communication.
Get started in 3
easy steps
Step 1. Add your vehicle
Signing up is easy and free. And all members verify their identity and their vehicle’s license plate to keep our community safe and trusted.
Step 2. Search a plate
See a vehicle you want to reach? Just enter their license plate digits and state. If they’re a member, you can view their profile and contact them.
Step 3. Start connecting
Now you can send quick alerts, start a chat convo or make an emergency call. It’s a fast, smart and safe way to keep drivers and vehicles connected.

questions
It’s simple. Anyone can go to pl8chat.com or use the mobile app and enter the license plate to send helpful feedback, vehicle alerts, and more.
If you own the vehicle you drive, you can add it on the mobile app for free. Fleet is $40/year per vehicle, and Teen driver is $60/year. Both include decals and shipping.
Decals let others know your vehicle is reachable and are included with Fleet and Teen accounts. Individual drivers can order a decal sticker pack.
Safer driving and bystander visibility can reduce issues, claims, and costs over time. Longer term, the goal is for insurers to recognize us as true risk reduction, where you save more on insurance than PL8CHAT costs.
